2009 will be better year than 2008.

Renowned astrologer Bejan Daruwalla feels 2009 will be a better year than 2008. Speaking to CNBC-TV18, he said 2009 will bring progress for people harbouring political aspirations but lagging behind.

"Saturn, representing security, and Uranus, representing sudden disaster, were in a very bad position last year. Beginning April, the situation will be better .Post April, when Jupiter, which symbolizes money, progress and prosperity, enters into Aquarius, there will be financial improvement. Security threats too are likely to reduce as compared to the year gone by."

With respect to India-US coupling, Daruwalla said India remains heavily dependent on the fortunes of the US. He said traditionally the months of March, September and December have been the weak months for the US. This may have some bearing on India as well.

The months of April and May, according to Daruwalla, are likely to be good for stock markets/investors. New business ventures, projects can be undertaken during this period, he said. October too is likely to be a good month, he added. “December 2009 will be a different scenario as compared to December 2008 and the volatility/turbulence would have subsided which will augur well for business in general.”

However, Daruwalla predicts that March may not turn out to be a good month and that September too could see some turbulence.
